The Olle Hotel has been open to serving guests on and off for over 100 years. Originally built as a home, the Olle Hotel changed hands a few times before being bought and named after Otto Olle in 1926. Otto and his wife, Agnes, ran the hotel together until his passing in 1938 at which time, Agnes continued to run the hotel by herself. Agnes Olle passed in 1967 and with her passing the hotel primarily sat empty for almost 40 years.
After years of neglect, the Olle Hotel was purchased by Richard and Wilma Schaefer who began restoring and updating the hotel. In 2004, the Olle Hotel was sold again and renovations continued. Dennis & Kathryn Geesaman, along with their daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen & Steve Collins, lovingly restored the Olle Hotel, adapting the hotel to allow for some modern conveniences while still maintaining the integrity and charm of the hotel. Designed with Texas elegant in mind, Kathryn , Dennis and Kathleen hosted numerous functions and guests throughout their many years of ownership.
The historic Olle Hotel has been in several magazines and travel books over the years. The Hotel continues to offer guests clean and comfortable lodging and has built a good reputation of the perfect place to rest and rejuvenate .
